Bitcoin DCA tracker and net worth calculator
Bag's DCA Tracker is a purchase log for people who buy bitcoin regularly. Enter the amount, the price you paid, the currency and the date for each buy; Bag keeps the running average buy price, cost basis, current value and P&L, and the Home tab shows your total holdings as net worth in up to three currencies. It is free, works without an account, and the log is encrypted on your phone.

Log every buy with price and date
- Open the DCA tab
Bag has three tabs: Home, DCA and Settings. The DCA tab starts empty with an Add first purchase button; later, use + Add next to PURCHASES or the + in the title bar.
- Enter the purchase
The Add Purchase sheet asks for Amount purchased (in BTC, or sats if Display in sats is on), Price per BTC, the Currency you paid in, the date, and an optional Note — the exchange, the order id, whatever helps later. Tap Save Purchase.

The purchase list: date, currency, BTC amount and the price paid per BTC. - Backfill history
Past buys can be entered with any date. Most exchanges let you export a CSV of your orders; go through it once and the tracker becomes an accurate history. Entries can be deleted, and each keeps its own currency, so a mix of EUR and USD buys is fine.
- Keep the Home amount in sync
The DCA log and the net worth amount are separate on purpose (you might hold coins you did not buy through DCA). Set the total under Settings → PORTFOLIO → Save Amount, or let a Pro watch-only wallet supply it automatically.

Home: the total holding as net worth in three currencies with the price chart.
Average buy price, cost basis and P&L
The SUMMARY card at the top of the DCA tab shows six figures, all computed on the phone from your entries and the live price:
| Figure | How Bag computes it |
|---|---|
| Total BTC | Sum of every purchase amount. |
| Cost basis | Sum of amount × price paid, per entry, in the selected currency. |
| Avg buy price | Cost basis ÷ total BTC — your volume-weighted average. |
| Current price | Bag's live, multi-source averaged BTC price in that currency. |
| Current value | Total BTC × current price. |
| P&L | Current value − cost basis, as an amount and a percentage. |
The currency chips above the summary switch the whole card between the three currencies you chose under Settings → DISPLAY. Purchases made in another currency are converted at today's cross-rate between the two BTC prices, which is the only honest thing an app can do without an FX history; the note field is the place to record the exact fiat you paid if you need it for tax records.
The same P&L can be shown on the Android home screen widget — a row under the price with the amount and percentage — so you do not have to open the app to see whether the stack is above water.
Net worth in up to 3 currencies
The Home tab is the net worth calculator. It multiplies your BTC holding by the live price and shows one card per currency, up to three at once, chosen from 30 (USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, JPY, CAD, AUD, BRL, INR and more). Each card shows the current BTC price and the change over the selected chart timeframe — 1D · 1W · 1M · 1Y · 5Y · ALL — and the chart below follows the same selection.
Prices come from Bag's own cache at bitbag.app, which averages several exchanges and updates every few minutes; if that is unreachable the app falls through to CoinGecko, mempool.space and Bitfinex directly. Tap the BTC amount at the top to edit it, or, with Pro, to jump to the list of watch-only wallets and manual balances that make it up.

BTC or sats
Flip Display in sats in Settings and every amount in the app — holdings, DCA entries, the amount field, the widget — switches to satoshis (1 BTC = 100,000,000 sats). The keyboard changes accordingly so you are not typing eight decimal places.
Encrypted on your phone, no account
The purchase log is financial history, so Bag treats it like a wallet key. Entries live in an AES-256 encrypted database whose key sits in the platform keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Nothing is synced, backed up to a server, or attached to an identity; there is no login. If you enable the optional biometric lock, the app — and therefore the log — asks for your fingerprint, face or PIN every time it returns to the foreground.
The flip side is that the data lives only on that phone. Uninstalling the app removes it. Move the entries yourself before switching devices.
Privacy
The DCA tracker needs exactly one thing from the network: the current bitcoin price. That request carries no identifier, no amount and no history. Your purchases, notes, BTC amount and currencies stay on the device in encrypted storage. There is no account, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no server that ever sees your log.
If you also use Pro features, the same rules apply to them: wallet keys are parsed on-device, only derived addresses reach the block explorer, and Route through Tor makes every request go through Orbot or not at all. The app is GPL-3.0 and open source.
Pricing
Free forever: the DCA tracker with unlimited entries, the net worth calculator in up to 3 of 30 currencies, price charts from 1 day to all-time, and the home screen widget.
Pro is a one-time unlock, no subscription. It is not needed for anything on this page. It adds watch-only wallets (zpub, descriptors, multisig) that keep the holding up to date automatically, manual balances for coins on exchanges, Tor routing, a custom explorer, the Bitcoin Health Check, Sentinel alerts on Android and mempool fee alerts. Buy it through Google Play or the App Store, or — if you installed from F-Droid or the APK — pay with bitcoin on bitbag.app/pro and receive a signed licence key that the app verifies offline. Nothing phones home after that.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Bag DCA tracker free?
Yes. The DCA tracker, the net worth calculator, the charts and the widget are all in the free tier with no limits on the number of purchases. Bag Pro is a separate one-time unlock for watch-only wallets and privacy features.
How does Bag calculate my average buy price?
It divides the total cost basis (sum of amount × price paid for every purchase) by the total BTC bought. That is the volume-weighted average, so a large buy at a low price pulls the average down more than a small one.
What is cost basis and P&L in the tracker?
Cost basis is what you paid in total, in the selected currency. Current value is your total BTC multiplied by the live price. P&L is current value minus cost basis, shown as an amount and as a percentage of the cost basis.
Can I log purchases in different currencies?
Yes. Each entry keeps its own currency. The summary card converts everything into whichever of your display currencies is selected, using today’s cross-rate between the two BTC prices. Use the note field to record the exact fiat amount for tax purposes.
Does the DCA tracker connect to my exchange?
No. Bag has no exchange API integration and asks for no credentials. You enter each purchase by hand, which also means the app never learns where you bought or holds any account access.
Is my purchase history stored securely?
Yes. Entries are kept in an AES-256 encrypted database whose key is stored in the Android Keystore or iOS Keychain. Nothing is uploaded or synced. With the optional biometric lock enabled, the app requires fingerprint, face or PIN every time it returns to the foreground.
Can I see my net worth in sats instead of BTC?
Yes. Turn on Display in sats in Settings and every BTC amount in the app, including the DCA entries and the widget, switches to satoshis.
Which currencies does the net worth calculator support?
30 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, JPY, CAD, AUD, BRL and INR. You pick up to three to show side by side on the Home tab, and the DCA summary can be switched between the same three.
